The Washington Wine Academy is pleased to be the leader in providing educational wine tastings for the Washington, DC area. Our commitment to this region is fueled on the desire of Washingtonians to want to do more than just drink wine. They want to know all about it. We have gathered together the top wine talent in the Washington, DC area to be our faculty presenters at all of our formal wine classes. These individuals taste hundreds of bottles of wine per week to ensure they are fully knowledgeable in this field. Because they are authors, wine columnists and university educators; they are able to present the information in a open and unintimidating manner.

This desire for DC area wine lovers to learn more led to the creation of our "Up to Speed on Wine" series.  And, we are constantly looking to offer new and exciting tastings such as our latest course..."Passport to the World and Study of Styles" which was born out of conversations with our attendees.

And, we are very excited about our newest offerings of professional wine certification with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses. See link to the left for more details on these offerings.

Our public wine tastings range from classes, receptions, a series of wine events geared just for women and more give attendees a chance to sample great wine and mix & mingle with fellow wine lovers!
